Dipole Consulting is looking for a new resource to enlarge its development team. The candidate would first concentrate on support and maintenance of existing projects (Python and PHP softwares). He will work in a fully open-source environment working on web and desktop applications focusing on environmental data management.

 This is more than a developer postion. Dipole Consulting is a small company. The candidate will surely do some project management, have contact with the client, prospection of new projects, etc.

Work Experience

• Development experience in serious projects

• Significant work experience developping applications with a robust deployment process
  

   

Skill Requirements

• Mastering an OO language (e.g. Python)

• Knowledge of application infrastructure (web-based or not) and development process

• Ability to manage communication with the client 

   

Other Required Skills

• Must understand OO concepts and MVC architectures

• Good knowledge of Linux environments

• Understanding of GIS concepts

• Involvement in an open-source development communit
